Watermark Tower
Watermark Tower is in the process of restoration of a Historic 11-story bank tower, known as the Liles Building constructed in 1927, in Historic Downtown Anniston. It has been vacant for approximately five years due to a fire on its upper floors in 2003. The building has always been a city and regional landmark due to its height and prominence, and served as AmSouth Bank’s headquarters for Calhoun County until the fire and after the fire until their new facility was opened in 2005. After its completion, the project will accommodate Anniston’s demand for office users in an existing structure utilizing existing road, utility and other infrastructure already in place.
